Mural #7 Story

THE STORy

"Wish You Were Here" is a collaboration mural in commemoration of the life of Jeremiah "Krush" "G" Nathan. Jeremiah "Krush" Nathan was a dear friend to many in the art community. His passion for the arts have helped tie communities and hiphop events on the Big Island. This mural was painted on top of a previous mural "Aumakua" that was painted in 2013 to honor his life. Fast forward 9 years later, this new mural "Wish You Were Here" is a mastermind by PRIME, honoring his evolving styles over the years and his daughter Sarai. The inspiration taken from his classic drawings from back in the day are shown in this piece. The DJ represents his daughter spinning music for her Dad. A tribute to them both. The Sun &  flowing Water symbolize genealogy. The polaroid frame represents a snapshot from the past being viewed in the present.
5 of the STRIVE mural artists came together to collaborate on this vibrant piece. They began painting during the April 2022 Kona Town Night Market and completed it in an impressive 34 hours.
